Hi! I’m Sherri Rogers, and I’ve been making beaded jewelry for over 15 years. Before that, I was a potter and painter—skills you may still see reflected in form, color, and balance. If you visit my sale events, you’ll even find a few of my pottery pieces displayed among the jewelry. Creating with my hands has always felt like home.
Most of my jewelry is made with Delica seed beads—tiny, perfectly uniform beads known for their rich color and precision. I sometimes incorporate Swarovski crystals for light and sparkle, and my earring wires and clasps are generally sterling silver. Every piece is stitched with Fireline, a high-strength fiber used by fishermen; I actually go through more of it in a year than my fisherman brother (to his amazement).
I LOVE COLOR. You’ll see it instantly in the gallery and at my table—bright, bold, unexpected combinations alongside elegant neutrals. While I do create some subtle black-and-silver pieces, most of my work is a celebration of vivid palettes and joyful contrast.
The process is slow, detailed, and incredibly satisfying. An earring may contain hundreds of beads; a bracelet, thousands. Each bead passes through my hands as I choose, place, tighten, and weave it into the pattern. One pair of earrings can represent hours of tiny, steady movements—decisions you may never see individually, but you’ll feel in the finished piece.
Even when I repeat a design, the colors are chosen fresh each time—instinctively, playfully, moment-by-moment. Because of that, no two pieces are ever quite the same. The structure might echo a previous one, but the colors are always alive and unique, shaped by the choices that happen at my worktable that day. You are truly wearing one-of-a-kind.
It’s meditative work for me, and each piece holds that time and attention. There’s nothing better than watching a design finally come alive—except seeing it loved and worn by someone who feels that joy too. When something I’ve stitched bead-by-bead finds a home with someone who lights up wearing it, that’s the moment everything is worth it.
